Erica Goh is currently studying the euphonium at The Royal Northern College of Music, UK (RNCM) under the tutelage of Sterling Artist, Dr. David Thornton and Besson Artist, Prof. Steven Mead. Being an active musician, she is currently Principal Euphonium of The Philharmonic Youth Winds (Singapore), and has performed in various top ensembles in Singapore, mainly The Philharmonic Winds and Lion City Brass Band. In England, she plays with Freckleton Brass Band for various competitions and concerts. She was also given the opportunity to perform as a soloist at the Esplanade Concert in Singapore alongside the Singapore Polytechnic Symphonic band.

After graduating with a Diploma in Business Information Technology at Singapore Polytechnic in 2015, she realised that the world of music was where she truly wanted to be, thus she went on to pursue a Diploma in Music (Performance) at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore (NAFA), where she studied the euphonium with Sterling Artist, Mark Glover and Singaporean Tubist, Tan Yao Cong. After auditioning for RNCM in 2018, she was given direct entry to Year 2 of the BMus and is looking forward to further performance opportunities with various ensembles within the college.

Whilst majoring the euphonium, she picked up the trombone in her second and final year of studies at NAFA that gave her the opportunity to be part of more ensembles which helped her to grow musically. She was then invited to perform with NAFA Symphony Orchestra, The Philharmonic Orchestra and Asian-Cultural Symphony Orchestra, Singapore. She studied the trombone with Edwards Artist, Samuel Armstrong, section trombonist of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra.

Erica is blessed to have many encouraging and supportive teachers that inspired her to be a music educator. She was given the opportunity to tutor various secondary schools and junior colleges during her studies at NAFA and she hopes to continue to inspire and educate the future generations of all ages upon completing her studies at RNCM.
